MealEnders Signaling Lozenges are a weight management product designed to help people avoid overeating and master portion control by clearing cravings from the mouth and mind. Each Signaling Lozenge consists of two flavorful layers, each playing a strategic role in weight loss. The sweet, outer coating provides a measured dose of “dessert”, habitually associated with the end of a meal. Avoiding the “no dessert” mindset prevents a sense of deprivation, which can thwart even the most earnest weight loss efforts. The tingling/cooling inner layer engages the trigeminal nerve, clears the palate and creates a 20-minute eating pause, enabling the brain to recognize the body’s natural transition from hungry to full. By the time the MealEnders experience is finished, the body’s natural signaling process of satiation has begun. With repeated use, users accept MealEnders’ sensations as a cue to stop eating, resulting in sustainable and healthy eating habits.*
The concept behind MealEnders stems from both behavioral psychology and natural appetite regulation. They were developed as a tool to facilitate sustainable weight management practices*. First, MealEnders address a common dilemma for many dieters – the craving for dessert at the end of meals – by providing a portioned taste of sweet. The brain and body experience the best taste of any food in the first bite, so, over time, users can learn to be satisfied with one bite of dessert. In addition, the deliberate and conscious experience of taking a MealEnder establishes an important chronological marker for ending meals and avoiding snacks while empowering a sense of self-control.
Next, the active-taste sensations of the inner layer clear the palate with MealEnders’ Actissert Blend. Similar to the sensation of toothpaste, this cooling, tingling sensation engages the trigeminal nerve and serves as a signal to stop eating. Recognition of this palate change augments behavioral weight loss strategies, such as leaving the table and clearing leftover food.
MealEnders also bridge the gap between satiety and physical fullness. Savoring a MealEnder can take up to 20 minutes, allowing users to wait out the natural lag between feeling comfortably full and sated. Putting down a fork, mindfully not chewing and/or journaling while savoring a MealEnder can also result in positive behavioral outcomes. The use of MealEnders lozenges, over time, promotes a positive association between the palate-clearing taste and an eating pause, creating an opportunity to implement healthy weight loss behaviors at the expense of ingrained, negative habit circuitry.
MealEnders are a duo-sensory food developed to assist users in sensible weight loss*. MealEnders come in four flavors and are made from high-quality, food-based ingredients recognized as safe by the FDA MealEnders do not contain any drugs, stimulants, herbs or toxic ingredients. There is no caffeine, ma huang or other similar ingredients commonly found in weight loss pills and energy drinks. They are not pills or supplements. The ActissertTM Blend, found in the inner layer, is a proprietary flavor combination formulated to clear the palate and engage the trigeminal nerve to create a pause which leads to more mindful eating. MealEnders are gluten free, kosher and only 15 calories. Check out the nutrition facts for more information.
Candies and mints are generally not intended to encourage less consumption. In fact, most candy and mint recipes are intended to entice people to eat more. MealEnders, on the other hand, were developed by the nation’s leading food scientists to engage the taste buds in the opposite way. The proprietary Duo-Sensory Taste System creates a sensory experience that helps stop the process of eating long enough for the natural fullness signal to reach your brain*.
A MealEnders lozenge replaces the pleasure of continued eating with a uniquely different pleasurable experience. It feels like eating at first with a small dose of “dessert” in the sweet outer layer. Then, it gradually becomes something else when you reach the active taste center. The intensity and duration of this layer are designed to keep your mouth and mind occupied, distract you from eating, and clear your palate in a way that changes taste perception and discourages further eating. It’s the second flavor experience that distinguishes MealEnders from ordinary candies, mints or chocolates. The sensory transition actually shifts the mind away from the desire to eat instead of stimulating it, enabling you to get through the 20-minute “Overeating Zone” when you would otherwise be prone to overeating*.
Under high temperatures (86 to 90 degrees), some MealEnders may melt! To keep them fresh, avoid storing them in direct sunlight or leaving them in a hot car.
MealEnders have a patent-pending!
MealEnders is the first and only product on the market that tackles overeating and weight management* in this way.
Each MealEnders Signaling Lozenge has only 15 calories.

Our factory fills MealEnders packages by weight. They are tasked with placing a minimum of 25 MealEnders in a package, but often times there may be a few more so as to guard against a shortage or an inadvertent empty wrapper. Given that the machinery evaluates the packing by weight it is possible that in rare occasions there could be a bag with fewer than 25. If this happens to you, please let us know and we will make it up to asap.
The human body has a natural signaling loop that facilitates the body’s transition from hunger to satiety. When you are hungry, ghrelin (the “hunger” hormone) travels to the brain and stimulates you to eat. When you are full, peptide yy (the “full” hormone) is released from the colon and signals to the brain that satiety has been achieved.
But here’s the catch – it typically takes 20-minutes for the food you eat to travel through your digestive system to activate the release of peptide yy in your colon As a result, people often continue to feel hungry when they have actually eaten enough to be full. MealEnders help you bridge this “Overeating Zone.” By the time your MealEnders experience has ended, your body will have had time to naturally signal your brain that you are full – and you’ll be satisfied, not stuffed*.
There are many potential answers to this question, but for most people, two critical elements are involved in changing eating behavior – the first is psychological, the second, physiological. The psychological component involves learning more mindful eating habits. The physiological component involves a sensory stimulation to offset cravings. MealEnders work in perfect synchronicity with your body’s natural hunger/satiety loop and fulfill both of these elements.
MealEnders can be used as a standalone product or as a supplement to other weight loss programs. The more regularly you use them, the more effective they become. Use them when you:
• Feel the urge to finish a large plate of food.
• Crave a second helping.
• Can’t resist dessert after dinner.
• Feel compelled to snack on junk food between meals.
Just place a delicious, long-lasting MealEnder on your tongue before you take another bite. Let it dissolve completely in your mouth without chewing or biting. Remember – for your MealEnder to do its job, its effects must last as long as possible in your mouth; savor it until it has fully dissolved.
Learn to recognize your “eating pause.” Most people have a natural eating pause during a meal, when they drop the fork and stop eating for a couple of minutes. This is the quiet indicator that you are minutes away from becoming full. Don’t feel bad if you can’t pinpoint it right away – most people miss it, but using MealEnders will help you learn to recognize it easily. This is when you push your plate away and have a MealEnder.
• Be mindful when you enjoy MealEnders. Relax. Savor. Let it dissolve.
• The more regularly you use MealEnders, the faster you will start to associate their signature signaling taste with the end of a meal. As you get used to MealEnders, they work better and better. It’s especially important in the first few weeks to be diligent about using them at the end of meals or in lieu of snacks.
• At home, temptation may be just steps away. Keep your MealEnders close by in the kitchen or even on your dining room table.

Weight loss is achieved as the result of a caloric deficit. That is, consuming fewer calories and/or burning more calories than you take in.
MealEnders can be a huge help and will supplement your efforts to lose weight*, but they aren’t a free pass! Visit our How To Use page for strategies to create the caloric deficit you need for weight loss.
MealEnders are not designed to be a quick fix or magic pill – they don’t boost your metabolism or make other unrealistic and/or unsafe promises. MealEnders are meant to be a tool for overcoming the “overeating zone,” the period during which a person has already consumed enough food to satisfy his or her hunger but still has an appetite for more. When combined with changes in diet and an increase in physical activity, MealEnders can help promote weight loss*.
Over time, you will learn to recognize MealEnders as a cue to stop eating, but at first you may have difficulty avoiding the last quarter of your meal or snack. This is normal. Be strong, be mindful and let MealEnders help boost your willpower.
Learning when to call it quits on a meal and take a MealEnder is a learning process, one which might take several weeks to master. Be patient and listen to your body. Drink a tall glass of water while enjoying your MealEnder to take your mind off your meal, take a walk, read a book, or just focus on the taste of the MealEnder. Your cravings will dissolve before you know it*.
It is important to remember that MealEnders are not a substitute for a meal – they are a tool to make sure the meals you consume are the right size. Finding the point at which you are 80% full (your eating pause) can be tricky. If you are truly still hungry after you’ve eaten your MealEnder, perhaps you’ve stopped too soon. Experiment with stopping times to find what’s right for you.
MealEnders can be used effectively with any type of food. We designed them to allow you to make a gradual transition to healthy living by eating a little less of what you already like. However, for best results, it is highly recommended that you aim for balanced meals with plenty of vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and healthy fats. It’s perfectly okay to use MealEnders as a way of easing yourself into healthy living.
All ingredients are recognized by the FDA as GRAS (“Generally Recognized as Safe”), and MealEnders contain no drugs or supplements. They are regulated as a food. It is always appropriate to check with your doctor before beginning any new diet or exercise regimen.

We have designed MealEnders to have a tingling sensation that is just right for the vast majority of the population.. However, a small percentage of people do find the tingle to be a little too strong for them (while others actually tell us that they wish the sensation was a bit stronger.) If you find the tingling effect too strong, it is possible that you are a “supertaster.” Supertasters, who comprise a small part of the population, have high taste bud sensitivity and are more likely to find the taste sensation of MealEnders to be too strong and unpleasant.. We know that MealEnders can help a lot of people, but they’re not for everyone–that’s why we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.. If you are dissatisfied with your MealEnders experience for any reason, please let us know and we’ll arrange a swift and painless refund.
